WHAT is Tramps Like us?

Tramps Like Us is a new documentary film made by Springsteen fans about Springsteen fans.  It's the story of a one of a kind 50 year conversation between an artist and his audience. In telling the story of the fans we tell Bruce's story by uncovering the common bond that has made this journey so unique through the shared and common experiences of his fans around the world.

WHY is this different than Springsteen and I?

Tramp's Like Us is about the global Springsteen community.  It is a conversation between fans, band members and contemporaries about a shared experience between Springsteen fans that crosses boundaries, ages, cultures and stations in life.  Springsteen and I focused on individual stories.  Tramps Like Us focuses on the community of fans, and what this life long journey has meant to them.

HOW do you tell such a large story?

We give every fan that wants to tell their story an opportunity to do so.  We then weave all of the stories and voices into a global narrative that tells the story of the Springsteen Fan experience.  Don't believe that can be done?  Well, we have done it before.  We made a film called Dream Out Loud about U2 fans in the same manner. 

For Dream Out Loud we interviewed over 200 of U2's fans, their contemporaries and Bono to weave together the heartfelt story of the extraordinary relationship U2's fans share with the band, the music and each other.
